On February 27, 2019 I cleaned out my cubicle, bid goodbye to my teammates, and walked away from a two-decade career to start something new. I wasn’t quite sure what that would look like, but I knew that I had spent my life spinning ideas and projects that I was never able to commit to completion and that I had literally never been satisfied with my work life. I also knew that while I didn’t have a perfect vision for what I would be doing (or how I would make any money!) there was a general feeling/mood/sense that I wanted my life to embody. So I have begun this journey towards that embodiment. Through creation, community building, self-care, and an openness to possibility I seek to create that feeling. The High n’ Steady feeling, if you’ll indulge me.

High n’ Steady is going to evolve and grow and change (hopefully!) but the goal is always the same: create and support creation. Pie-in-the-sky dreams include a full roster of performers, producers, and creators working together to bring their visions to life; collaborations with global artisans; an archive exploding with videos and writings and events and good stuff. It will be hard work that may take a long time to bear fruit, but the best things are worth it. When you’re living High n’ Steady the journey is the destination ;)
